Purses from One Nation Exchange benefit local, new to Canada women and their families. Every bag is unique and handmade. This bag was made by Firdous. Through the One Nation Exchange program, she learned how to sew and earned some income. This pouch is big enough to hold all the essentials and was made from recycled materials generously donated from EQ3.

About the design: In 2015, women from First Nations and new immigrant communities in Winnipeg met weekly for six weeks to share stories from their childhood, lessons learned from those that raised them, and dreams for their children’s future. The emblem was made by Karen Cornelius who integrated the drawings made by each of the women which reflects the conversations and the desire for unity within diversity.

The profits from the sale of each bag goes directly to the women that make them and support One Nation Exchange programs.
